Block and breach mechanism for the 75mm gun have been cleaned.

On October 7, 2009, Garry Redmon breaks away paint from Cobra King's glacis using a ball-peen hammer.

After the paint was chippped away, numbers and inspection stamps were found stamped into the armor plate.

This close up shows the stamp icons used by different inspectors during the assembly process. Apparently a stamping mistake was made and then ground off the plate before the final stamps were re-applied.

Some chalk writing and symbols were also found, but barely discernible. Although the photo does not show it clearly, it appears to say "Values OK."

After the paint has been chipped away, the front will be cleaned further with wire brush and sander.
