The General George Patton Museum's annual Life of the Soldier event will take place on the weekend of May 28-29, 2011. Unlike similar events in the past, there will be NO battle reenactments this year. This event will consist of military living history static displays and other exhibits reflecting the life and experiences of soldiers from 1775 to present day.

Spectators will be able to get close up and personal with the exhibitors and learn how America's soldiers coped with day-to-day life through the ages. There will also be two drill demonstrations each day along with two presentations of the Inside Normandy Sand Table briefing about the D-Day invasion.

Visitors will also be able to view the newly reopened General George Patton Museum and see the first phase of the completed remodeling.

The staff and volunteers of the Patton Museum will be participating in this event in many forms; reenactors, event coordinators, setup, cleanup and as goodwill representatives. We strive to have a good, safe event for everyone.
